Adele Brown
Partner
Adele joined the firm in 1994 and became a partner in 2008. Previously Adele worked for HM Revenue and Customs, which provided her with invaluable experience and insight into how HM Revenue and Customs operate, which is still relevant today. Adele has a wealth of experience and specialises in IR35 status issues, employer compliance and investigation work. As a buy to let landlord she also has a special interest in property taxes, both from the view of an advisor and an investor. Adele is a member of The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals – MCIPP, A Fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians – ATT (Fellow), and a member of The Federation of Tax Advisors – FTA.
Andrew Wilkinson
Partner
Andrew started his accountancy career in 1991 spending his first few years working in a small firm environment before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1995. Following qualification, he built up his expertise in small business advice before moving to a larger firm which ultimately merged into a
top 10 accountancy practice. At this firm he was widely involved in some sizeable assignments and hence has seen the accountancy profession from all angles. Andrew joined MJC in 2013 and became a partner in April 2018. Since joining the firm, he has worked on smaller businesses and has gained an
extensive knowledge of the needs of such businesses. He works with a number of GP practices and other medical related organisations, as well as a varied range of other businesses covering numerous sectors.
David Griffin
Partner
David joined the firm in June 2006 and became a partner in 2018. Previously David worked for one of the largest firms of Property Consultants, based in East Anglia, heading up the tax department within the client accounting services division. David specialises in medical tax and pension matters dealing
with a large number of practices, consultants, and other NHS staff. David is one of the tax partners at MJC overseeing the workings of the tax department and the payroll department. David works closely with a number of financial advisors in assisting clients with tax planning and mitigation regarding pension annual allowance and lifetime allowance issues.
Martin Smith
Partner
Martin has been with the firm since its inception. After many years working from Junior to Accounts Manager he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1992 and became a partner in 2002.
Martin has been a senior partner for many years and has been responsible for all aspects of the Audit, Accounting and Corporate Services the firm provides which include him being the firms Audit and Regulatory Compliance Principle.
Steven Taylor
Partner
Steven joined the firm in 1998 on work experience and progressed through the ranks until becoming a partner in 2018. A qualified chartered certified accountant, Steven predominantly looks after our corporate department and a number of medical practices.
Steven specialises in cloud software packages and the integration of associated apps in order to maximise integration and automation.
